Terms of Service
The terms on which Alanis Quran Center provides Alanis Chat and corresponds with the people who write to it.
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern the use of Alanis Chat, published at https://chat.alanistilawa.com by Alanis Quran Center. By signing in to the desk, or by messaging the center on WhatsApp and continuing the conversation, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. What the service is
Alanis Chat is an internal contact desk. It receives the WhatsApp messages sent to the center, records the sender as a contact, gives that contact to a member of staff, and lets that member of staff reply. It is provided for the work of the center and nothing else.
3. If you message the center
You do not need an account. Message our WhatsApp number and a member of our team will answer. In doing so:
- You agree that we may reply to you on WhatsApp, and may send you information about the classes and matters you asked about.
- You agree that your message and our replies are recorded, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
- You may stop the conversation at any time by replying “STOP”, or by blocking the number in WhatsApp.
- You agree not to send unlawful, abusive, or deliberately misleading content, and not to impersonate someone else.
Answers our team gives about classes, times, fees or registration are given in good faith and may change. Nothing said in a message is a binding contract for a course unless we confirm it as one.
4. If you have a staff account
Accounts are issued by the center to its own staff and are personal to the person they are issued to. If you hold one:
- Keep your password to yourself and do not let anyone else use your account. Tell us at once if you think someone has.
- Use the contact information you can see only for the work of the center. Do not copy it, take it with you, or use it for anything of your own.
- Answer the people assigned to you honestly and courteously, in the center’s name.
- Do not attempt to reach records outside the permissions of your role, or to interfere with the service.
We may suspend or close an account that is misused, that belongs to someone who has left the center, or where we are required to.
5. WhatsApp
Messages are carried by the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta Platforms. Its availability, its rules and its own terms are outside our control, and messaging through it is also subject to WhatsApp’s terms. We are not responsible for a message that WhatsApp fails to deliver, delays, or blocks.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the desk running, but we do not promise that it will be available without interruption. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and we may take it down for maintenance. Where a change matters to you, we will give notice we reasonably can.
7. Our material
The software, the name Alanis Chat, the center’s name and logo, and the text and design of this site belong to Alanis Quran Centeror to those who licensed them to us. You may not copy, resell or reproduce them without our written permission. The content of the messages you send to us remains yours.
8. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data or lost business, or for anything arising from a failure of WhatsApp or of another service we depend on. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You can have your records deleted at any time — see the data deletion page.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date it was last changed at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia, and the courts of Ethiopia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
12. Contact
